The only robo-dog (or is that “candroid”?) that I’ve ever trusted is Doctor Who’s K-9.

Seriously, though: do you think they’ll ever invent a robo-fox?

One more thought for today. Have you ever considered doing a mini-article about the gradually increasing meaninglessness of the Triple Crown?

I would first want to see Rainbow Dash and Applejack as contestants… 😄

Just read on-line that Mystik Dan (winner of the 2024 Kentucky Derby) will be competing in the Preakness (2nd leg of the Triple Crown) after all. Which is good for the hard-core horse-racing aficionados because–as I said last time–any Kentucky Derby winner who only competes in one of the other two races renders all three meaningless!

And that’s been precisely the case, for one reason or another, the last ten years or so.

This is so! And will you be going to see the new “Planet of the Apes” movie? 🦍🦧

I saw it at my hometown multiplex, Opening Night, as a matter of fact! 🙂

It’s both a sequel to “War for the POTA,” and a prequel to the twist ending of Tim Burton’s 2001 remake of the 1968 classic that started it all! 🙂

By that, I mean it is set (and I quote): “Many generations after Caesar’s death.” And to say that a lot of his visionary philosophies haven’t been faithfully followed would be putting it mildly. 😦

More than that I refuse to say so as not to spoil it for you. ;-D

Further update: Mystik Dan came in second, behind Seize The Grey, in the 2024 Preakness Stakes. So, it’s pretty much meaningless to watch the Belmont Stakes (Triple Crown leg #3) three weeks from now.

On a less-sporting note: have you ever been awakened at six in the morning by one of those telemarketers whose caller-ID is a long-string of numbers prefixed by one or two consonants?

Well, this one I serenaded, using inspiration from “Far Away Places” (a 1948 torch song first done by Margaret Whiting and covered ten years later by Bing Crosby).

“Far-away people with strange-sounding names keep on phoning me.

Trying to sell me crap I don’t want. Calling endlessly!”

My telemarketers start at about 8:30 in the a.m. I wait to see if they leave a message, and block them the next time they call if they don’t… 😼
